Technology Asset Purchase
The equipment purchase process is simple for you. If you are upgrading or changing out your datacenter or desktop systems, we can offer you the best value to help recover those assets. Many of your assets when being disposed of may fall under government scrutiny and regulations. We can arrange for pickup, safe removal and disposition of your equipment. Since other companies have needs for this equipment, some of it can be refurbished, enhanced and re-sold. Or, we may donate or completely dispose of the equipment based on it’s value.

Since 1989, Abtech has had the experience to provide you with the most value for your surplus equipment. We specialize in providing our customers with the greatest possible Return On Investment (ROI) for their IT budgets. If you are changing platforms, consolidating systems or just cleaning out your warehouse of unused or un-needed servers or storage assets we can help.

We also offer aggressive trade-in credits towards purchases. Trade-ins do not need to be of “like” assets. For example, trade in a used Sun for new HP or IBM equipment. Or, trade-in an HP-UX machine for a Blade Center running Linux.

Our first step will be a Fair Market Valuation (FMV) of your unused assets. After we agree on the financial value we will help you liquidate the assets. We will make all of the transportation and packaging plans making the disposition of your unused technology as simple as possible for you.

Occasionally, we may find the value of your unused assets are beyond the scope of a simple quote. In these cases a consignment program might be a better choice. Consignment is a process that allows Abtech to refurbish and resell your assets and pay you a predetermined percentage of the sale price or profits. You have a job to do and it probably isn’t centered around computer sales. Our expertise in this market will be an advantage to both parties.

In these uncertain times there are situations when the exact value of your asset isn’t known at the time you want to dispose of it or the value might actually be greater at a later time. These are times when consignment makes more sense that a purchase bid.

While working with our trained engineers we may find that it makes more sense to upgrade your existing system than purchase new. This happens most often when our customers think they have exhausted their options for performance.

Talking with an Abtech consultant might result in a decision to upgrade your existing systems. We have software that can analyze your system performance to determine if you have bottlenecks in your system performance. If, during this free service we determine that there is a correctable bottleneck we can recommend CPU, memory or I/O enhancements that can drastically improve your existing environment.

Abtech engineers can recommend upgrades and we can then help you choose from a vast array of new or remarketed inventory than will improve your existing assets.
